				The DK coin

If someone could provide me with a good sketch of the Donkey Kong coin. I would get it tattooed on the back of my arm. I have looked online for a good picture of it but no luck. There is only one small, low quality photo that I can find.
So a good sketch would be greatly appreciated .

				No.
About 3 inches in diameter is what I am looking for.

Not sure if these are sharp enough but they are a bit bigger.
First one from the DKC2 Manual. Second From the DKC3 Players Guide.

How on earth did you decide to do this? Is it going to be in colour, or just black ink? Good luck anyhow, and I hope you don't regret it... :p

That's.... a brilliant idea, to get the DK coin tattooed on your arm.
I'm actually considering getting the (old-school) Rareware logo tattooed on my upper right arm around my 18th birthday. If all goes well for you, I just might.

& I am actually getting it on the side of my ribcage. About 3 inches in diameter.

Why not get it on your arm? People can see it easier. You'd just have to make it smaller.

Can't wait to see some pics.

Oh. I thought you meant you weren't going to tell him at all because he'd be infuriated.

If your 18 you should be able to get it without your parents being pissed off about it.

Far out. Full awesome points, man...
I really like the artistic style - it gives the piece character. I didn't spot any blood in that shot (unless you meant under the skin, Kiddy), but the little line beneath the coin caught my eye... Is that a mistake, or a birthmark?

Nick, your courage and dedication will be remembered forever amongst the DK community.

It's called a ghost line...It will disappear after a week. I just wanted to see how bad it would hurt and ask him to do it. Maybe I could get a special rank out of this.

Yeah, I'd say a special rank is in order - how does
Inked Imbecile sound?

We should start an exclusive 'DK extremists' club, which is only open to those who have taken their love for the adventurous apes to extremes like this...

Most people get tribals and stuff that don't mean anything, they just think it looks cool and they get it, but a tattoo should be of something you personally really love, something like this. Hopefully I'll think of something DK related to get in the future and actually grow some and get it.

It'll be 14 this november.
So.... um..... yeah. That's just about the coolest thing I've ever seen done. My nephew(who is half mexican, and his mexican father was into the hip-hop stuff) wanted to get a symbol or picture cut into his hair, so I convinced him to make it the DK symbol(off the tie and logos and stuff). It turned out a little wierd but it was cool. This was....hmmmm.... I'd say probably 6 or so years ago, so it has grown back and he has since decided not to do quote "dorky things" unquote.
Yeah, I think I wanna get a DK tie tattoed around my neck and chest when I'm older.
P.S.: Does the haircut thing above qualify me for the aforementioned DK Extremists club, or do I have to get a tattoo?

I don't see why people get tattoos. It sounds like it's be painful and not entirely worth it. I mean, tattoos are the kind of thing where it seems like a good idea at the time, but 40 years later you have what looks like a crumpled up DK note on your arm and realise how silly it was. Plus, some people might consider that it's cool to have a tattoo, but getting a video game tattoo kinda takes that aspect right out of it, not to mention Jomingo's idea seems somewhat obsessive...
You're all gonna hate me now.

Well actually the DK coin is from DKC2 - which will be 13 next month, I do believe.
Jomingo wrote:Yeah, I think I wanna get a DK tie tattoed around my neck and chest when I'm older.
That would indeed be extreme! I thought about this briefly, and realised that my chest would be too hairy for such a tattoo to work. It's funny really that a big, hairy ape like DK is free of hair on his chest and muzzle, but I'm not...
At least I don't have a hairy back.

Jomingo wrote:Does the haircut thing above qualify me for the aforementioned DK Extremists club, or do I have to get a tattoo?
I'd say any bold, preferably public display of DK love would set you up as a nominee for the club. Something like
wearing a DK tie to a serious job interview would be just fine - and hilarious to boot!
Hell, we should all video our 'membership submission' attempts and start a mini-series documenting each extreme act. maybe we should refer to these acts as
Wild Moves.

It's supposed to be filled to the brim with caffiene and Gensing.
Sounds crazy enough to try.
