DKC Atlas Forum

This is a DKC poem/song that I thought of, I'll start out, and you can decide the next part!

Rules:
1. It has the same tune as "99 bottles of beer on the wall" only different words, which means the 3rd and 4th lines need to ryme.
2. Each user can only post one verse of the song every 12 hours. (Ex: I posted a verse below, I can't post another verse until 12 hours from now, but other users can, but they each need to wait 12 hours after they post before posting another verse.) This does NOT include regular chatting on this thread.
3. Do NOT use foul language. This includes posting in a verse, and chatting on this thread.
4. The verses need to have something to do with DKC, DKC2, or DKC3.
I'll start off:

99 yellow bananas in my hoard,

Donkey Kong is cool,
he beat King K. Rool,
98 yellow bananas in my hoard.

This is considered one verse. The next person starts with 98 yellow bananas and ends with 97 yellow bananas. Remember, the 3rd and 4th lines need to ryme (in this verse, the 3rd and 4th lines were Donkey Kong is cool,
he beat King K. Rool), also remember that you can only post one verse every 24 hours. If 2 users post a verse at nearly the same time, and they post have the same numbers of bananas, the sooner post stays the same, while the later post edits to the smaller numbers. (Ex: two users post only a few seconds off, and they both start with 71 bananas and end with 70 bananas, the later post edits to a starting of 70 bananas and ending with 69 bananas.) Have fun!

Expresso is a Male. I know this because Ellie is the first female animal buddy.

Sorry I posted this comment really early...

What do you mean by early? Each user can post a verse every 24 hours, but I mean for each user, I don't mean for all the users together. (Ex: If someone posted a verse at 12:00 p.m., the other users can post a verse, just not the person who posted at 12:00 p.m., that person needs to wait until 12:00 p.m. the next day before posting another verse.) Unless you ment early as in early in the morning, then I forgive you. Also, just a reminder, the verses don't have to just involve DKC1, they can involve the second and third.

It's been 24 hours since I posted the first verse, so....

The characters in () don't effect the tone or melody of the song, but they make the line more understandable, rather then just saying "Expresso's great why".

The point of the 24 hours was so that everyone would get a chance to post a verse, but not very many people are posting, so I decided to change it to every 12 hours.

EDIT: I noticed I can only post stuff about DKC/2/3, but hogwash is in DKL Can I still keep my rhyme?

You can keep your verse that way, aren't the DKL's the same games as the DKC's, only different systems and graphics? (I haven't played the DKL's, but I looked at screenshots and walkthroughs, and they seem like they are the same as the DKC's).

Just read a few of the DKL threads, and you'll find out the differences and similarities to the DKC's.

I read the threads, I heard that DKL2 was worst in of the DKL's, even though it was best of the DKC's, and that DKL and DKL3 were pretty good, I heard that they are somewhat like the DKC's though.

OK, DKL is the only original one, with new environments and enemies. In DKL2 all the levels are named the same and have the same environments, but all the levels themselves are designed brand new. DKL3 is pretty much the same situation as DKL2 I think.

^Wash doesn't rhyme with Rash, but whatever.

I don't know how hogwash is pronounced so I think it's an imperfect rhyming.

I didn't think anyone would post here after 3 days, thanks! Anyways, my avatar was created by Cody, he posted it on the avatar discussion board, and I used the PM to ask him if I could use it, and he said I could, (he also has lots of avatars with a bear on it, you might want to check it out), and when I hit 100, my rank was Jungle Explorer, then it went to Game Complete! (I don't know why, it just did), now it's back to Jungle Explorer, this seems very strange...

I get it, 101 posts makes you Game Complete!, just like 101%. Kinda like the 666 posts make's you K. Rool's Advocate. Very clever.

Yeah, I already new those were Cody's. I'm surprised they haven't been added to the gallery, as the gallery is currently almost useless. I pmed Qyz about the current state of our gallery, and he hasn't replied. =sad face.

That's odd, I pm'd Qyzbud if I could be a moderator (I'm really interested), he hasn't replied either, even though I pm'd him BEFORE he just got on. He read my message though, as it isn't in my outbox anymore.

Yeah, same with me. He logged off so quick I assume he probably was busy and didn't have time to reply.

By the way, I don't want to be mean or anything, but we don't really need any more moderators at this point. I know that I'm the only frequently active one, but there aren't many problems that need to be "moderated" right now, so I've pretty much got everything covered. Also, asking to be one isn't the best way to become one.

And remember, being a moderator isn't the only way to help out around here. If you have ideas and contributions, you can PM them to Qyz or myself, or post them in the appropriate thread.
