Recently, it was announced that there is going to be a new Wario Land game for the Wii: Wario Land Shake. Not much is known about it, but it's supposed to be similar to the previous Wario Land games (yes!). It's supposed to retain the 2-D elements, and you shake the Wiimote to attack enemies.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wario_Land_ShakeHopefully this game will be a good one...
Jomingo Edit: New topic title to reflect the games confirmed title. Jomingo Edit Again: Confirmed U. S. Title.

Looks great. The artwork seems like it's come right from the golden age of 2D platforming in the 90's!
Bodes well for a sidescrolling return of Donkey Kong Country, I hope...

Scan. Captain Syrup looks awesome! And no, I don't mean that in a weird way.
...Ah, who am I kidding. I
totally mean that in a weird way.

Yay, they brought Captain Syrup back! I loved that character. How often is it that you come across a greedy female villain who's rivals with another greedy guy?

Does anyone else think the new title, you know, sucks?

So sense the new title doesn’t reference Wario Land anymore do you think it’s still a part of that series?

It still references Wario Land, in the fact that it's called Wario Land Shake It!

I hope that the "Shake It!" part of the title doesn't imply that it's going to be all gimmicky...
I hope that the Wario series can still hold up to the first four games.
