Who here thinks the rumor's of DK2 being 103%? I really don't know. I have gotton to 102% at the highest.

As far as I know, it isn't, unless there's some glitch that I don't know about. The highest I've gotten is 102%.

No, there's no truth behind that. I was a friend of the original theorist behind that 'search for the 103rd level'... He was just reading too far into things.

102% is full completion.

My understanding of this 'sitting in pilot's seat' misconception is as follows:

During his 'teleporting' phase, near the end of the battle, if you lose to the Kaptain by having him hit you across the screen to the right with his blunderbuss, he will (or may, at least...) teleport to the far-right of the airship. This is because he locates himself near to where the lead Kong is positioned... which is of course way off screen. He doesn't 'sit', but I can see why it looks like he gets into the chair.

I've heard lots of places that this is in fact true. You achieve 103% by completing the game on hard mode.
To get to hard mode press down 10 times when TWO Player Contest is highlighted in the new game select screen, then type the cheat; B, A, Right, Right, A, Left, A, X.
You play the game through with no DK or star barrels and completing this mode gets you 103%
Hope this helped, and is true, I have yet to see if it gets you 103% yet

Sorry for the bump, but I'm working through the game to get 103%. And using BARRALAX code, there's still Star Barrels.
Right now, I'm at Bramble Scramble.

I don't have picture proof, but I can attest that this isn't true. I've beaten DKC2 multiple times on Hard Mode and have never achieved a 103% rating. This means all of the Kong Family visited, all Swanky Quizzes passed, all of Cranky's and Wrinkly's advice bought and read, each of Funky's Flights paid for, all Kremcoins and DK Coins, Stronghold Showdown revisited, and the 75 Kremcoin secret done after paying Klubba the original coins (the ones in the bonus barrels). I even went back and took all 10 level warps! So no, I'm certain this rumor is false.
