Agreed. My 21st bithday was pretty 'eh'... well, come to think of it, I guess it was only 'eh' because the events below occurred on my birthday.

So, the day before, my grandma asked if I wanted to go to Sacramento to celebrate my birthday. (I have family in Sacramento so naturally I assumed it would be a nice little family get-together). Well, I was wrong. It turns out that whole intention of driving the 2 1/2 hours up there was to help my cousin and his wife move to a new home (apparently everyone knew we'd be doing this but me, funnily enough -- I was never told). As a result I spent the grand majority of the day moving furniture, sorting through things and loitering around (in 95 degree weather) for instructions. It suddenly dawned on me that I forgot my wallet at home which I never do (almost gave me a heart attack since I thought I lost it in Sacramento)... and then my phone died with no access to a charger.

To top it all off, for dinner we went to some pizza place. My older cousin (who we were helping move) kept asking me to order a beer and I kept declining. When explaining that I forgot my wallet and thus couldn't prove my identity, he snarkily replied with something like "how could someone lose their wallet on their 21st birthday?" Yeah, not a good day!

Thanks, Cody. Mine wasn't really bad, just uneventful. On a good note, though, my brother, his wife, and my boyfriend are coming up to my school tomorrow to take me out for my birthday. So I have that to look forward to!
